Yes. Sure. He was a hell of a player and a great enforcer. But thats all he really was. Bad pass coverage and its starting to show in the NFL. Hes had a solid year for the Jets this year though. But in the NFL they would rather have a pass coverage FS rather than a run stopping FS. Hes still 1 of my all time favorite Tigers.

Casonova, Hunt, Chad Jones, Steltz, Ryan Clark and Carrier were all great Safeties for LSU. Clark is by far the best NFL FS out of these players. I consider Laron in this group too. They are all good players, but I cant put Laron ahead of any of them. Physicality and intimidation, yes he was bigger and badder than all of them. But he was an average in pass coverage. Reid has a chance to be in this group too, but that remains to be seen.

Danny McCray gets a lot of hate by LSU fans because he gave up a lot of big plays, but we had him out of position. We had him playing the deep FS, when his game was better suited for a middle rover SS. The Cowboys love the guy and hes been a starter/ big time contributor since his rookie year.

And 1 of the more underrated safetys weve had at LSU was Brandon Taylor IMO. 1 of the best tacklers weve had.
