The movie itself was fine. From what I understand, the script was almost a clone of the book with some small changes.
There's no doubt he's a talented screenwriter. Just check out his writing credits:
Toy Story
A Bug's Life
Toy Story 2
Finding Nemo
WALL-E
Toy Story 3
But don't worry about his name anyways because he's starting work on Finding Nemo 2 at some point in the next year for a 2016 release.
