66 years old, and Rev. Al Green tore it up last night. He can still hit his trademark high notes. He sang some Motown classics, his hits, and even "Nearer My God To Thee." The audience was singing along to every song. The band was strong with some great solos and Green generously shared the spotlight with them.

He had a great banter with the audience. Some loudmouth woman was screaming while he was talking and he said "Shut up, woman" and immediately kicked off a song.

He dissed a little on lip synchers and rap.

Thanks, I'm white, but, I love Al Green, grew up on STAX and Otis Redding, am radio out of Memphis, WLAC late at night. I saw on a website that AL Green's guitar player[very good] and 2 horn players died this year. Old age/natural causes. Do you know about replacements? What did they do in the band?
