Sitting out until he is cleared. If you can remember, he switched right before school started. Isaac pushed stuff back a little. I don't know if he will play there this season though.
He's got word from the coaches recruiting him that he's still able to get in if there is room when he decides, regardless if he plays this year or not. Which makes sense in a way, considering if you look at some of the "project" players taken before him, the risk of not panning out is not that different, but his ceiling is very high.

If he's waiting to be cleared, then he would at least be practicing. He's not. That would be a warning sign to me as a football coach. He's played 8 weeks of football since elementary school.
So much of football is attitude, desire and aggression. If he is just choosing not play because he doesn't want to, then LSU should stay away. A smaller school can take that gamble. (I am speaking of football)
I would still take him for basketball.
