Some of your shots are over exposed with serious highlights.
A lot of shots out of focus also. You don't use zone AF for action shots?

You can only get so much clarity out of a Sigma lens at 400-800 ISO, at night, on less than a D700, at 80-100% crop.
I haven't had the D7000 very long, so I'm still getting used to its quirks--and focusing on the background, not the main subject, is one of them.
I guess it's a damn good thing I do this for fun and don't charge people for it.
Most of the blown out highlights are due to the fact that I increased the exposure and fill light in Adobe Lightroom because some of the photos were actually underexposed .
