I always figured you take what the defense gives you. they stack the box to prevent the run and you chunk it downfield. they drop back to protect against the pass and you run it down their throat. We kind of did that in the first half. Second half we ran it down their throats and they stacked the box but they couldn't stop the run even when everybody in the stadium knows that's the call. It works in second half cause we got fresh legs and opponent is whipped. worked all last year except Bama cause they got equal depth and can sub without much loss in skills. Bama played the run and dared us to chunk and we couldn't effectively pass the ball. Hope that changes this season. Practicing passing is lot different than actually doing it in game in front of fans and TV cameras. We do it enough In game situation and it becomes easier and more effective.
