agreed I know of some older models that still cut pretty good. Biggest problem with poulan is they put cheap oiling systems in and they do not like to be stored for long periods of time.
My Husky I can go 6 months and never touch it...pick it up prime it and in 3 pulls or less it will be fired up.

The biggest thing with any of them (or any small engine) is not to leave fuel inthem for long periods. I always run mine empty before storing.
My Dad on the other hand never does this with his Husky and it starts right up just like you say.
