His father is a hs coach and his grandad was a star rb. These people are well known in Texas hs football circles. Plus his dad played with McGaughey and under Brick while at U of H if I'm not mistaken, so they're practically family. The kid can also really ball, so all this negative talk needs to stop. You people ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

Look dude, I made no comment whatsoever about him as a player. I just don't think we will ever know the entire story of his recruitment and commitment.

If this is directed towards me, I'm not trying to degrade the kid. Just giving my opinion on him compared to the other 3 TX dbs. Obviously, the coaches know more and if he comes here, great.

I gotcha. I just don't want this thread to get too negative. Players, parents and coaches often read this site and some may take things personal.

I like Hardeman and would happily welcome him as a signee if that happens but I do think we have better options on the board. There have been serious questions about his commitment since the moment he put it on Twitter. It took a couple of hours before sources actually said it was true. They denied it until that point saying he was not a current take. Obviously some things changed and his commitment was taken but our guys, along with TAM's and other national guys based in Texas, say it's a very soft commitment and he's still very much in play, particularly for TAM. We'll see what happens.
I dn't see anything wrong with questioning whather a kid will stick or not nor anything wrong with questioning a kid's ability, as we see it. That's what this board is for. These kids have been subjected to nothing but praise for their football ability for most of their lives. A little constructive criticism can go a long way towards making them better players. If what one of us says on a message board really bothers them that much, I feel sorry for them when they step on the field on Saturdays in front of 90,000+. Nothing in this thread has been overly critical or negative. It's just our opinions, which is the basis of this board. Some have good opinions of certain players, while others have bad opinions of those same players. Who's to say who's opinion is more valid than the other's? We can criticize the leader of the country but not a football recruit? Something seems a little off about that.

Why did they accept the commitment?
big time mixup, and took it at the time to not hurt there chances with prevot, they moved on from prevot after he didnt commit that weekend.
just watch hardeman will de-commit and commit elsewhere.

Since last year, we've been lookin for the next honey badger, and I think that Hardeman in terms of size and style of play comes closest. Even with a loaded DB class, I would still be happy if he keeps his commitment..

according to rivals he had 15+ offers incl. ohio state, nebraska, a&m, okie state. if anyone thinks we will get all of paris, jones, harvey, brown, simmons then they are seriously disturbed.
this guy is a good take among a 5 db class. voorhies may play wr and hootie is 6'2, 210 and will be 225+ in a couple of years. thats lb size for sure for us.

Seems pretty committed to me. I hope he sticks with it.

His dad said he was still committed as well, per Gino on Twitter. His dad says he read on 2 diff message boards about Hardeman decommitting and he didnt like the inaccuracy.

Nothing wrong with having a guy that loves LSU

Hardeman is by all accounts a solid four star player, being ranked 12 in the LSR top 100 for Texas. In my opinion you can't go wrong taking a solid player who really wants to be a tiger.
For all the people talking about the other targets, they are just that, targets. Yes we are in good to very good shape with all of them but things can change fast in recruiting. Plus Voorhies could play offense, Jones could play linebacker, etc.
If recent events have taught us anything it's that you can never have enough secondary depth, especially with how many young guys Miles plays.
