By recent standards, the 2012 class has many more issues than other classes. A reasonable person looking at things in an objective manner cannot disagree.
Does that mean no productive players will come out of the 2012 class. Of course not. Does the loss of several highly regarded players out of the class due to grades mean the class (that was rated low by LSU standards) would be rated even lower? Absolutely.
I like how people assume that Avery is going to be back in January. How many times has LSU had a player not qualify that actually ended up at LSU after a year or two of prep school/JUCO? The answer is not many.
Get off the back of the OP. His observations, whether you like it or not, are on point.
