Pretty much every team has a player like Ichiro as their 4th outfielder

every team has a 38 year old OF that cant hit as their 4th OF?

Out of all 38+ year olds with enough ABs to qualify ony Jamie Carroll has a lower OPS.

Out of all players with 75+ plate appearances, Ichiro is 299th in OPS

Since the start of 2011 the only qualified players with a lower OPS than Ichiro are Cliff Pennington and Gordon Beckham (middle infielders).

Since the start of last season no qualified player over the age of 38 has a lower OPS.

Since the start of last season only 3 players over the age of 38 with 200+ plate appearances have a lower OPS than Ichiro. Magglio Ordonez (retired), Miguel Tejada (currently in the minors) and Omar Vizquel.

Yes I look sooooo stupid saying Ichiro wouldnt be in the majors if his name wasnt Ichiro

I really do hope he can turn it around. Yankee stadium might do wonders for him. But since the start of last season he has been an awful hitter.

Just look around at any teams roster. There are some terrible OFs occupying a roster spot. You really don't think that Ichiro, who can hit .260 (albeit with no power and patience) and play near elite defense, can be a 4th OF?
