Haven't bought yet. Going to go by the store this weekend to pick their brains a bit more. Although when they were telling me about the i11s I told them I wasn't interested since I couldn't take it to La Jolla and the guy's response was "Why the hell couldn't you?"

I figure as long as the waves are 3 feet or less and you have everything tied down and secured it shouldn't be a big deal

I talked to my buddy yesterday and his response was "you could do it but you'll lose a ton of shite and the surf will destroy that setup." Lol. He tried to launch yesterday in some serious surf in his predator pdl and turned around after busting his shin up pretty bad. Surf didnt look bad close, but when you got out a ways, it was impossible to bust through.

Yeah I am still skeptical. I'm going back to the store this weekend to ask more questions.

This is the only video I can find of someone launching through surf, but its in Clearwater, FL and gulf waves are a bit different than Pacific waves: LINK

I've been able to track down a couple owners on Reddit/Youtube and they both said it can work in the ocean but to launch from a ramp or cove if you can and not directly into the surf, and its best to go out on nice calm days. Suggested launching in a bay and pedaling out to sea instead of going directly through the surf

We will see. It's really my only option because of my limited transportation, if I get an Outback I would have to dock it at a marina and would be limited to the area around the marina. Wouldn't be able to take it to lakes without renting a truck.

I apprecieate the help and feedback
