We are staying at Grand Floridian. Stayed at shades o green last year when we had my BiL with us.

The GF is pretty awesome but I like some theming and I find it to be plain. If I'm staying on the monorail path I like the Polynesian for theming and the Contemporary because of the proximity to the Magic Kingdom. You can easily watch the fireworks shows from there. I've even stayed cheap at All Star Movies and had a blast. It was crowded but the theming was cool to look at.

We were originally booked at the Polynesian but got some good deal on the meal plans to switch to the GF. I haven't done much planning on this thing, mostly been the wife

Don't get me wrong, the GF is the top resort on property. It's just about the plainest of the deluxe resorts though. The pool is ridiculous though because it's themed like a beach and it's enormous. I've relaxed at it a few times and enjoyed every minute if it.

Fan is short for fanatic right? Yeah you could say that.
Figured that given your user name, location, and sig quote. (Love the WED reference, lol).
My family has been DVC members ever since I was little, so we've been going at least once a year since then...which was maybe 1990-92ish. Pretty sure we bought original timeshares(?) in Old Key West when it was built, so that's our go-to resort.

Not many people have picked up on the user name and sign quote yet. That's the old WEDway spiel. I need to get someone to make me a nice sig image that includes a few attractions.

I've stayed at OKW since they've been refurbished and I love them. My only problem with them is that they aren't close to any of the parks. I think it's closest to EPCOT but even then the path there stinks. It's a beautiful and peaceful resort though.
