honestly, you should get a guide for a 1/2 day trip in an area that you will frequent...tell him what you are trying to learn and he will be more than happy to help...he can show you baits, techniques, fishing spots, where to buy bait, etc...

Plus, I garantee you will have a hell of a good time and will be hooked on salt water fishing for life....
