You've been the main sunshine Planetside pumper here, got me to sign up for the beta to see what it's about. I would believe you played the first, which I haven't, are the levels of players separated into different area's? Or is it more like WoW can go anywhere, but choose no PvP until you like, or total mass fricking conflict with all players thrust into a epic warzone?

Yes I played the first for a long time. So my answers will be assuming that some of the main elements are the same.
No. A level 1 player can easily kill a max level player. You just don't have as many weapon and loadout options.
This is an FPS. You WILL be PVP'ing.
There are multiple continents. The first game had something like 130 to 150 players per side on each continent.
They are claiming they can support thousands per continent with this new game.
