The north side of the stadium is nice. Have you ever actually looked at the south side? The best thing we could aesthetically do is cover it with an upper deck.

Agreed. The East and West coliseum effect arches are covered up by upper decks.
The SEZ doesn't have arches at all, it never did -just poles.
A SEZ upper could conceivably have at least a partial arch design built in.

The NEZ arches will NEVER be covered up. And this will be the showplace area for Death Valley anyway. The Roman Coliseum look with the new updated area between NEZ and the PMAC....
