I think we have the most talent at QB that LSU has had in a while. Mett, Rivers and Randal will develop under Krags. A good qb makes the whole offense better not the other way around. You can have talent at every position but if the QB is weak, it all falls apart.

I think Lee looked alot better under Kragthorpe. I hope with more then a year he can work wonders with Mett and the rest of the crew.

I have a want to see Randall sling that rock. in mop up at first though, let's coach him up for a yr or 2, Kragz.

A lack of quality at the QB has hurt LSU for most of Miles' tenure here. Ran into former Tiger QB Marcus Randall a while back, and he even said that LSU was not strong enough at the quarterback position, and that was a problem. With that said, I'm looking forward to Mettenberger being under center full-time this fall.

Coach Krag seems to do better with a pocket passer as opposed to a dual threat QB....so I have high hopes for the future with Mett and Rivers.
No more dual threat QBs who can't pass worth a crap or read a defense.

As long as Miles has a hands off approach.

If they can't pass, then they are not "dual threat". Alleging "dual threats" not being able to read a defense assumes lack of intelligence, which some on here want to infer in talking about all "dual threat" QB's.
A bad supposedly "dual threat" QB makes some conclude all "dual threats" are bad and not wanted at LSU. Always their intelligence is brought into question.
A bad "pocket passer" never leads to conclusion all "pocket passers" are bad for LSU. Their intelligence is never brought into question unless it is Jamarcus Russell.
Shouldn't the desire be for a great QB in the position regardless whether "dual threat" or "pocket passer"? Who wouldn't want a Michael Vick, Tim Tebow, Robert Griffin III, Vince Young, Steve Young, Tajh Boyd, Pat White, Tommy Frazier, Charlie Ward, etc. Well there are a few on here who wouldn't want a "dual threat" QB regardless of if it were Vick, RG3, Vince Young, Tajh Boyd or Charlie Ward.
My perfect QB would have a great arm, great feet and a great mind. Along with a prototype QB body (6'4"+ & 220lbs+), that is the perfect QB. It is asinine to say I'll take the perfect QB, but deduct the great feet. I don't want him to be a "dual threat". Now if your opinion is that somehow a "dual threat" cannot possess some of the other traits (i.e. intelligence), that a different issue. I want my QB to have ALL of the tools. Like in baseball I want him to be a 5 tool player who hits for average & power, throws, catches and run.
