It just hit me how huge this game is for LSU.

In my mental processing of Saban no longer being our head coach, I compartmentalized him in my head as being a non-issue, he was no longer our coach, move on. It just was.

Now Im realizing, these two men both coached LSU to a national championship, and the predecessor now seeks to deny LSU its next national championship. This is different from the regular season grudge matches.

This motherfricker here is for all the marbles, and we play in our own back yard. I like our chances.

It's true. And the consequences for the loser will be significant. Both will return strong teams the loser will be haunted by this for a long, long time.

When Bama loses, the Saban luster will fade. They know it. We know it. You can't deny it if you lose 2 games of the century. They know they will be caste as not belonging. They don't pay Saban that kind of money to lose these games.

This is fricking huge.
