They will hurt more down the road, but they will also have an impact right away. 10 scholarships isn't a little. They might be stacked with high ranking players, but you have to consider that some are over-rated. Their young players also won't have experience in playing in a bowl game, yet a BCS game. Pressure in those situations is different than regular season games.
Their O line also took a big hit with Kalil leaving. They do get good recruits, but you never know if somebody will be able to take over the left tackle spot.
I think them being in the top 5 is reasonable, but automatic #2 is not. IMO it should be Clemson
