I have a question regarding this game. I am extremely weird when it comes to guitar playing. I play the guitar left handed, but I also play a right handed guitar upside down. I tried playing a regular left handed guitar, but it was just too weird for me. Is there any setting in the game that would allow me to play this way?

I would love down the road if they added bass support or a drum kit.

Lots of bands are supporting this game too.

Seriously though, you can swap lefty and righty. Not sure about inverting it or not.

I'm having an issue where my top string on the interface tells me I need to move over when I am clearly pressing the note it tells me to. Its in tune. Anyone else have that problem?

Intonation could be off. When tuning try fretting the stri gs at 12th fret instead of open strings and see if it's in tune that way. If not need to adjust intonation at the bridge

Well how would you do that if you're using HDMI? I sure don't want to use component

On ps3 you can use hdmi for visuals and component for audio to significantly reduce lag.

But some people don't have surround sound, like me, and when the tv is set to hdmi, the audio is only gonna come out through that output. Therefore I'm forced to deal with lag.

I can't use the component cables for audio and hdmi for video at the same time because the component part covers the hdmi.
Anyone know a way around this?

I know there is some kind of audio adapter, but I'm not gonna buy anything, the lag isn't that bad if you do the lag adapter. Its not unplayable by any means.

like i said about. it's pointless if you don't have a home theater system or stereo headset(TB or Tritton).

no offense, but it sounds like you're screwed if you don't swap to component.

eta: here's a nice thread i found on your issue.

Enable audio multi-out to use hdmi for visuals and composite for audio on your tv - no external sound system required.

i'm here to tell you that it won't work unless you have a magic tv or something. if you're playing off an HDMi with no home theater system, you're screwed. a tv won't push video from one channel and audio from another on the same screen. at least mine won't.

my hook up for a 46in samsung lcd tv...

ps3(video hdmi out)--------->tv(channel hdmi1)
ps3(RCA audio out)--------->whoops, no RCA audio jack for hdmi1

if this is possible, i want to know how you guys did it.

My Vizio's got RCA inputs alongside HDMI3. I'd do some experiments to try and help you, but I don't have anything else with an HDMI input (not frat, I know).

Love the game so far. Really deep game.

Have only been playing single note so far. The Rapscallions song is awesome. Love the solo part. Don't understand the Soundgarden song, though. The game had me just drop tune the bottom E string, not the rest. The song sounds jacked up when I play it.

Outshined is in Drop D tuning. Make sure you are using Drop D power chords and not conventional tuning power chords. You also may not have tuned your bottom string to D (although i dont think the game will let you play the song unless it is exactly in tune)

You are familiar with Drop D tuning?
