Bass IMHO is our best on ball defender and is actually a good ball handler. The issue is he hasn't shown he can consistently shoot or finish well at the goal or make free throws. If teams are smart they slough way off him and play him to pass off drives and negate his abilities to drive and dish.

Some teams do still however give him some respect and when they do he can be effective driving and dishing.

He did hit a 3 pointer last game. The problem with staying off him is he will dribble right at you and into the lane. The thing is you have to keep him out of the lane so you can't give him too much room. Overall I think as long as we have shooters on the court we dont need a PG who can hit a ton of shots. I think his ability to find the open guy is what the offense needs.
