Karnell Hatcher would actually be the best option as a spy... trent doesnt really run routes, basically just comes out of the backfield for screens and safety dump offs, if hatcher cant handle that then well idk... you dont want to use one of your players that actually have coverage skills, let them cover the TE's and WR's who run actual routes, when TR3 is not involved in a play, his spy (Hatcher) won't be either, which can be a good thing. Spying is an easy assignment, let one of your lesser players do it
