Jay See was a household name through his myspace rapping before the fark board thread. And the tigertv appearances have put him over the top.

The Backstory
Click on that thread. He asked the Fark Board to fark his face onto George Clooney's body as the sexiest man alive cover. Needless to say, the fark board did work and the thread has remained updated every now and then.
He also gained notoriety from this video. You're welcome
