Yet you're also comparing last season to this season. That's not the most relevant information to use when deciding who starts when you consider JJ had a godawful start to 2010.
You want to ignore Jefferson's 2011 stats because you argue that the sample size is too small. Yet you don't want to use the Post-Bama'10 trend because it does not reflect all of last year. You seem content to ignore Lee's 2008 and 2009 seasons because he got better. Do you disagree with the clear evidence that Jefferson got better starting with the Bama'10 game?

Lee took the starting job this season and ran with it.
Yes. He did.

The Bama game is really the only massive blemish for Lee this season.
Okay.

He hasn't been great, but neither has Jefferson.
So maybe it's okay for Miles to start Jefferson?

I never said I ignored Lee's performance in 2008 or 2009, but that's because that hasn't come up in our back and forth replies. Of course Lee has improved. So has Jefferson. My big gripe was that you were only using part of a season to base your argument and using that to compare what Lee has done in 10 games (9 starts) in 2011. It's hardly relevant when comparing the two head to head in 2011.

He's the coach, so he's obviously going to do what he wants here. Maybe he's playing favorites. Or maybe it's like what Jim Mora said. "You think you know, but you don't." I do know that I wouldn't have returned Lee to a backup role after all he did this season unless I had a very good reason to do so. Maybe Miles has a good reason, but maybe he doesn't. Either way, he's not going to tell us and nor should he have to explain his reasoning to us.
