I believe so. However, I tend to think a couple of the nine dominant wins would have been slightly closer had Jefferson been the primary QB. The proof is in the pudding and the numbers clearly show that during the two QB's simultaneous careers, the Tigers have averaged more points in the games that Lee has started by quite a margin. I attribute this primarily to him being a much better play-action passer than Jefferson.

Im sorry but how do we know they would have been closer? So what are you saying Ware and the other running backs wouldnt have ran the ball as hard or well with JJ in the game against the defensively challenged teams we played before Bama?

Some of you seem to forget that JJ has beaten out JLee 3 straight years for the starting job. Why? Dont know ask Miles and the 2 DIFFERENT offensive coaching staffs he hired to evaluate and scheme a gameplan around them.

We dont know how JJ would have fared had he started the season. He may have looked as new and improved as Lee did.

And again the margin is not mostly due to our qbs its due to

A) A VERY STINGY and turnover making machine defense.

B) A running game that pounds inferior defenses into submission while both scoring pts and keeping opposing offenses off the field.

Dont get me wrong. Im not taking ANYTHING from Lee or ADDING ANYTHING to JJ. Im just saying that Lee was NOT the Dan Marino is prime that some of his supporters make him out to be during the 8 game run.
