revo s brake system FAIL

Have a revo s reel that feels like the mechanical brake system will not disengage. I can unscrew the knob completely off and the spool still will not move freely. Can only cast maybe 20 feet with it. I've taken it apart and inspected it twice now but nothing helps. Any suggestions or shops around Lafayette I can take it in to? Lost my receipt so warranty isn't an option unfortunately.

Sounds like there's some junk in there are something bent or misshapen/roughed up that's stopping the spool from spinning then. Or something else putting pressure on the spool.

Clean it up and tell them it's not working right. You'll get a new one in the box.

I used to do it with everything when I worked there. Not so much now.
