The ACC is locked up. Virginia Tech has been clear that they have no interest from early on, and Clemson/FSU will not have the votes.
Mizzou adds the TV sets that are needed to get big bucks with the SEC Network. A&M is obviously a big prize in terms of athletics/tv revenue/academics, but Mizzou is a very nice take. Other conferences have not been so lucky. (See Big 12, PAC-12.)

VTs board of directors is appointed by the governor, as well as UVAs. Since UVA pulled a mini coup to get VT in the ACC in the first place, i dont see the governor being happy with VT walking out and leaving UVA with egg on its face. Further more, there has been zero smoke coming from that camp anyways.

I dont think they would either. I also am not sure they would even consider leaving UNLESS the renegotiated SEC tv contract got a whole hell of a lot bigger. The ACC is due to renegotiate as well, and their contract should improve, especially with espn in regards to basketball. Bball may not be football, but it still draws good ratings and there is some money to be made there. The only reason either school would come to the SEC is more money, and Im not sure that enough extra cash would be there to justify the move.
