As far as the Big 10 goes, a lot of us fans were excited to be going there... it wasn't that we always wanted to play with the schools in the Big 10 though, it was more that we were excited to be leaving the Big 12. I mean Mizzou was playing Illinois every year in St. Louis and the rivalry never really even caught on.
With the SEC, I don't think it was on the radar at all. Almost everyone I know is thrilled that we appear to be SEC bound now. It's not so much the fact that we are leaving the Big 12 this time, but it's all the new rivalries that lie ahead, the exposure for the program, and the culture of the SEC in general.
I have to say, the Big 10 debacle left a bad taste in my mouth. But now that we are SEC bound, it's been very easy to forget about the whole ordeal. I'm sure the administration feels the same way, and if we join the SEC there will be no "wondering what could have been" in the Big 10.
