I'm more concerned about what might happen during a stretch when Lee struggles. Without JJ, he would just play through it, as most starting QB's do. With JJ, Miles will be tempted to fiddle, which is counterproductive.

I don't know if you would call situation replacement "fiddling." If Miles would have really "fiddled" you would have seen a new starter after the UF game. I think everyone knows JJ will get playing time.

After he struggled terribly for several games, he should have fiddled. When Lee clearly outplayed JJ for 2 games in a row, Miles should have done more than fiddle. As we know, he didn't
If Lee were to struggle badly for a couple of games in a row, Miles should fiddle again. Of course, IMO he should use try Mettenberger because he already knows that JJ is not the answer unless he has several weeks to prepare for a game.
He should not fiddle after a couple of poor possessions...which is the worry of many posters on this board.
