1) LSU - light years ahead
2) tech - should be above .500 at year end
3) tulane - about even with tech
4) ulm - a lot behind the top three
5) ULL - close to ulm
Sure Tech played some big-named opponents to close games, but their only win came from an OT thriller against FCS Central Arkansas. They are still 1-3.
Tulane- come on, man. Really? You talk about the Nichols game in Lafayette, but what about that Southeastern game in the dome earlier in the year for the Greenies? Giving up 33 points? And then losing by 3 td's to a team that lost to Richmond? Their only impressive win is against UAB, and that's not saying much considering the fact that they are ranked in the bottom 10.
ULM- Where to begin....all I'll say is that UL(L) has a three year streak on them right now.
ULL- Let's see...two road wins against teams that were picked to beat them in the preseason (one of which received a few top 25 votes). A decent win against a Nichols team (no OT or giving up 33 points). A 61-34 loss at #7 Ok State, who debatebly has the best offense in the country. Not to mention has given up the most points TO ULL so far this year. Not to mention a 3-1 start and a top 60 ranking.
Where's the logic in all of this?
