False. When the play breaks down,which is about 5 times per game, and your QB can run, it has value. Also, having JJ back there with wheels is like having a 3rd) back there and the defense has to keep a DB or LB on him at all times which frees up other players. Carry on.

Defenses didn't play spy on JJ very often last year so I'm not sure if this is an accurate statement.

If said QB was better at reads he probably wouldn't need to run so much.

I'm not disputing the fact a QB who can run can add value. But a QB who can run is not a prerequisite for an explosive offense.
