It's obvious the coaches believed JJ was best for the team since he has been the starter for a while now. I don't believe in the just roll with it philosphy at all. Many kids are asked to step in and contribute when a starter is out for whatever reason. Regardless of how the backup plays in contributing to the win, I would go with the guy who I felt the last few years was best for the job. Of course if JJ would come back soon, you slowly work him back in the mix and get him in game shape. So this may take a week or so. Game plans change week to miss so JJ is not missing that much from not being there except conditioning and throwing to receivers. The longer this lingers though, LSU will have to make a big decision if JJ gets is allowed to return too late in the season.
