Question for Arkansas older fanbase.
Actually I was trying to see what happen with Arkansas and Texas. When did the Schism begin? When did the need to "I'm getting the f--k outta here" occurred? Why for what reason? Was it about money then also or was it about something else? How was Arkansas treated badly? Most importantly. I can barely make out what is being said in the video but I get the gist that it's suppose to mock Arkansas during a Texas v. Ark game. Did you guys beat them at least?

I am not even too worry about super conference I just wanted to know where did the bad blood came from.

I am not old enough to remember an SEC without Arkansas in it and to me it seem they are have always been here to find out they once belong in the same Conference as Texas was surprising. To see TAMU want to joint seems kind of off. Like they wouldn't fit in with the uniqueness of what the SEC is all about but then again maybe this was what adding Arkansas felt like back then too.

Pick up Frank Broyles book. It's all you need for all answers in this department.

Video: Texas is making fun of Arkansas for leaving the SWC for the SEC and they said the SWC will go on as it always had without Arkansas. They failed to tell you only 3 teams who didn't lose fans to pro sports turned larget profits...

Texas, TAMU and Arkansas, after we left it killed it.

Now that I think about it some more, I do think Broyles deserves some credit.

I know he has said that he talked to Kramer a few times in the 80s, basically saying "if you expand, we are interested". That may have given Kramer the confidence to go about expanding the SEC.

Obviously they shot for the Texas teams at the same time, but I think Kramer knew Arkansas was a go to the SEC before he ever announced they were looking.

All they needed from that point was to sew up team number 12, and hope for 13 and 14.

Carolina became 12 and that was all that was needed to get the ball rolling.

The Big 12, the 12 team ACC, the B1G and Pac 12 don't happen without the SEC moving to 12 in 1992.

Broyles deserves some credit for it happening the way it did. That's not to say it would not have happened otherwise. But his vision and foresight did help get us to where we are today.
