Not that great of an article man.

Reads way too much into Les' maturity quote. There is on field maturity that players need to develop. Cam Newton had, for example, played some snaps while at UF and was a RS JR last year. Mett hasn't played a down of FBS level football, just JUCO and is a year younger.

He may have some attitude problems, but his offense at UGA is way overblown. He groped a girl, and while stupid and deserving of punishment, it was overblown because she was the daughter of a major booster. Otherwise, he doesn't even get charged with anything, much less kicked off the team.

They also short-change both JJ and Lee. As bad as both have been, both have shown flashes and Lee in particular has shown great humility and leadership by staying the course and not bailing when he could've easily transferred.

That entire article is more of a hit piece on Lee and JJ than anything else.

Poses the question, "Why are we starting a QB that struggles when we have our "show pony" on the sidelines?"

Sure, Mettenberger has never started, but with all the hype that comes with Mettenberger, you HAVE to believe he will do better than 12-of-21 for 67 yards, which is what you will get out of Lee.

Lee is a fine young man, but a mediocre QB. LSU deserves better.

To which struggles is he referring: the struggles in 2008 that have been well-documented or the struggles he had leading LSU to come from behind wins v. Tennessee and Florida and throwing a key pass with little to no warmup late in the 4th quarter v. Bama to help seal the win?

That guy's got a man-crush on Mett, as does the OP it appears.

Shouldn't you be on the MSB trying to convince everyone that Angel Sanchez is an all star caliber SS?

I imagine you will be absent from the board on Sunday regardless of the outcome of the game. Your tirade of ignorance hasn't changed.

BayouBengals, you are a respected poster on TD, tell me, why is TigerLand so in love with Lee? He is not that good. As a whole last season, he went 54-of-89 for a whopping 573 yards, yet everyone treats this guy as if he's Tommy Hodson or Rohan Davey.

What gives?

Angel Sanchez was batting over .300 to start the month of April, wasn't he? I bet you were losing your shite when he was playing so well. I would have loved to have told you about it, but you used your "ignore button" to ignore my posts like a pussy.

Why do you like J-Lee so much? This guy is a below average QB. I used the 12-of-21 for 67 based on his previous performance against a Top 5 team, Auburn, where he threw 8-of-14 for 43 yards. I upped his passes and yardage right around 50% to correct for him playing more than he did against Auburn, since he is in fact the starter.

Most of you are LSU homers. I love LSU, but I'm not delusional. Lee is a mediocre QB.

And Roger the Sucker, no, I don't want to come back on Sunday to brag about how I'm right. It sucks that we are such a great football program with such a mediocre QB. If Lee gave me a reason to feel otherwise I wouldn't feel the need to be so negative. He's a below average QB, just look at his stats.

Seriously, you CANNOT be that dense. How many minutes did he play v. JJ? What was his TD to INT ratio? What was JJ's?

If he's so awful, as you allege, then why was he inserted in the lineup when LSU really needed to pass the ball or come from behind last season?

I have no doubt that Mett is talented, but talent with no experience is a recipe for disaster in the SEC. Mett will get his chances. He just won't start this weekend. Hopefully, he can get in a few series Saturday after Lee gets us a decent lead.

BTW, I believe you got your prediction for Lee's passing stats confused with JJ, who went nearly the entire season throwing for less than a hundred yards a pop.

Saturday night, you will be proven a fool. I hope you'll be man enough to come on this board Sunday and admit it.

what gives you the reason Mett is better?
hear say? he hasn't played enough to show he can start in this program.when Lee lights up Oregon, i wanna see if you come on here and say that you were wrong.but i'm betting you won't.
