Ok. Same situation then, if that's your tune.

You're at a bar. A fight goes down. You were standing some distance away, and while present at the scene, had no participation in any way whatsoever, but did observe it happen. Someone says to the police, after the fact, that you were participating in the fight. Your first thought is to hire an attorney to defend you? Or is it rather to first state your innocence when questioned and turn to others to corroborate the truth?

If I'm going in to talk to police at all I'm taking a lawyer whether or not I was involved, that's just me though.
