Who is A&M definitely better than this year in the SEC? I'll give you UK, Ole Miss, Auburn (arguable) and Vandy. Tell me who else.

This year I'd say those plus Florida, Miss. State, Tennessee, and Georgia.

I'd say on par with Arkansas and South Carolina, with Alabama and LSU a clear step ahead.

Would you say this is likely to be one of the best teams/seasons for aTm since their last championship season?

Easy question. There is more to college affiliation than "easiest path to the MNC"...

I can think of a couple more reasons just related to Football:

1. More exciting Games at Kyle Field
2. Better Road Trips/ Tailgating for our fans
3. Competent Conference Commissioner/ Stability
4. Better Brand Exposure
5. Unique Recruiting Pitch

Plus, maybe in 5-10 years the Big 12 will not have an auto BCS bid if it keeps getting watered down. Maybe in 5-10 years there won't be a BCS as we know it and there will be a 4 super conference playoff system...

It's hard to say for UF, UGA, or UT, but A&M is not definitely better than State this year. They likely won't end up being better than at least one out of the other three teams.
