I was there, 1st game as a freshman. Saving frat seats. Drunker than Cooter Brown off a fifth of Benchmark bourbon. Drank the whole thing with my date sitting outside the stadium from about 1 until 6, then stood up and almost passed out. The one memory I have is how awesome it was walking up the final ramp and coming out into Tiger Stadium. The noise, the lights, the band, the buzz--it was electric. I wish I could remember the game itself!

what is strange is how similar those two teams wound up being ... we went 6-4-1 in 1976 and 7-5 in 1979 (not counting the mississippi state forfeit in 1976 ) ...
