I haven't read anything but the OP but if this has already been said, sorry.
I wouldn't mind if she wrote a mini series about Voldemort's rise to power and reign of power. Just to give some back story to how it was. It would be exciting and wouldn't have to even mess with the whole "Hogwarts" series that these 7 books have been but it would be a great "spin off" IMO.

agreed, i'd like to find out more about Voldemort's rise to power, it really would be an interesting time to develop a story for as she never really went into detail about the era in the HP series. I think it'd serve as a great prequel to the Harry Potter series.
ETA: but question. to new readers of the HP series if there was a prequel like this that they could read. Would reading the prequel before the HP series ruin many of the surprises and mystery surrounding Harry that is slowly revealed throughout the series? I felt like that was what made the series so great was that pieces of the puzzle were released with each book leaving you wanting more as you see the whole picture beginning to take place.
