quote:Cut bait (pogies) or hotdogs... Yes. Hotdogs. Get up current from the rig and chum the mangrove out ofthe bottom of the rig.. Then free spool a piece of the same bait with the hook embedded so it doesn't show. Not a bad idea to use a fluorocarbon leader bc they have good eyesight
Any tips on targeting mangrove?

NOAA windcast is most accurate place you can check for predictions. Its right about 10% more which puts it at about 30% correct! It shows you the iso-bars so you can see how close the higher winds are. Some days you will see 5kts but 15kts just a few miles away and you know its a crap shoot which one you get. If you see the 5kts bars all around, you know its a damn good chance its going to be right. (my 2 cents)

We tried this but I'm not sure we were doing it right. Should you see them actually come to the surface? If not, how deep will they be when they come up? Thanks.
