True Cliff's TD returns did come against weaker competition but it's difficult to take it all the way even against weak teams. I won't disagree that Cliff could end up being a non-factor (insofar as a returner at least) against your special teams because your special teams units are very good. However, to assert that he isn't a good returner at all may be the most ridiculous thing I have heard in a very long time. You have to be at least pretty good as a returner to have the vision to make those runs and talented enough to have the speed to get it done against even the bad teams. Don't you think there would be more returners with 3-5 TDs as a returner considering most teams play a few weak teams every year? Why didn't Patrick Peterson return 2 against McNeese State or UL Monroe?

Other than that one claim I understand your argument but there is no way any rational football fan can say he's not a good returner at all. Whether he may be overrated or not is a different story entirely.

His abililty is obvious. The comment about him doing 3 against UNM and PSU is valid but whenever he touched the ball he was electric. His abililty to avoid tackles and his instinct is the best I've seen in a long time.

That being said: if their punter hangs the ball up and gunners are bearing down on him, I want the fair catch.

I never said he wasnt good. He's simply overated as a PR. He hit UNM for 1. They gave up 3 on the season. And ranked 118 out of 120.

2 against PSU, who finished at 2-9 on the season. I could probably put together a team of Rant posters and be competitive against those 2. Thats just how sad they are.

And lets just be honest. He had 4 handed to him. Those 3(where he out ran a bunch of slow white boys) plus the WSU or ASU one(whichever one they rugby kicked it, it was supposed to go right, but ended up on the opposite hash giving him wide open sideline with 2 blockers and one man to beat.

He is an all american because the press saw he had 5 PR tds. I doubt they looked at the actual tds and who he was playing.
