Crowton's Offense - Was it overly package based?

Did Crowton's offensive play selection place too much emphasis on which package was on the field?
Was Crowton's offense too predictable based upon the players on the field?
Did Crowton rely on packages too much?

Crowtons system was intirely too complex, it was so complex that I really think it confused him as well at times!!! Let's face it, it's hard enough to run a simplified offense and put in packages based on the situation for these college kids. Kragthorpes scheme should be a much better fit for our style of play...

Way too complex for the current LSU qbs. I'm sure a more cerebral qb would do fine in his system.

Too complex for any QB (and player). The QBs weren't the only ones that had trouble with the plays.

YES!!!
Anyone who tries to run on 3 WRs with 14 seconds left from the 1 should've been fired on the spot.

So chip kelly should be fired? Gus Malhzahn? Urban Meyer before he quit?

Show me the videos to prove they did this shite with no timeouts left.
eta: Especially when it's been pretty obvious the past 2 years that we suck at substituting.

The good ole Chinese Fire Drill, crowton shouldn't have the entire season, Les miles is a very patient and forgiving man, I bet crowton thanked Les on a daily basis for not being anyone else becuz he should have been canned

Gus malzhan and Urban Meryer's offenses were not the same as Crowtons and just helped to illustrate why Crowton needed to go.

I don't know how you can say this. Crowton was the most "predictable" OC Oregon has had in the last 20 years. Defenses had to know what was coming. The fans sure did. My impression was it wasn't complex at all, just very predictable.

To clearify things his plays were complex but it was all about packages and you knew what he was running by the packages on the field, but the plays themselves were a cluster fuk

Good offenses do 50 things out of three sets. Crowton's offense tried to do 2 things out of 50 different sets.

Very serious. Lsudm made it seem like no other team in the nation has ever ran the ball out of the shotgun from the goal line. There's plenty of other videos just like it. Just watch Tebow, Cam, Oregon highlights. It's not uncommon to run the ball from the shotgun on the goal line

Gotta do better than that. Provide me with a video link or a game where we had more than normal(every team has a few kinks in substutiting) trouble susbstituting in the last 2 years.
