PS3 are made to where you cant switch hard drives without reformating. I just recenetly bought a new one after reflowing mine about every 15 hours of usage. The best way is to reball the processor, yet that will only be good for around 100 hours of play. So just go to a best buy or target, the best your going to get is 279 at the lowest.

Once i had enough i bought one. I reflowed my old one just to put the saved game data on a USB drive but my gosh damn power supply blew before i could get the data.

So my first playstation lasted for 4 years and the blue tooth card, power supply, and heat sink eventually failed.
