It's nothing personal but JJ is not a good QB and will not lead LSU to a MNC. We have had one of the worst passing games in the nation the past two years and he is still being defended. This is completely relevant to the question. Mauck is the name most frequently mentioned when speaking of the NC in 2003, but what gets left unsaid ( even if it is understood ) is how the defense just completely shut down EVERYONE that year.

JJ has the luxury of having thrown to LaFell and Tolliver early in his career, having Charles Scott and Stevan Ridley punishing defenders, and utilizing great defenses and special teams to get great field position... not even examining the fact that Josh Jasper attempted more FGs than any kicker in the country when we were on the 8 yard line and couldn't punch it in.

The question, in essence, is EXACTLY how much dirt can a NC ring clean up for him?
