if he has to split even more carries with ford and ware, then yeah it could have. he had a career year this year. coming out after a season like that when the things that hurt his draft stock aren't things he can improve upon (speed, elusiveness) then he had nothing to gain by coming back. if he doesn't get drafted and is good enough to play in the league, he'll make it. it's not like he's a guy that had the potential to sign for a huge contract if he had waited a year.
Let's see if he gets drafted and revisit this at that time.

so of he doesn't get drafted, does that automatically mean he would have gotten drafted higher had he stayed? no, sorry it doesnt. ridley is a 6th-7th round pick or UDFA signee regardless
