Matt Flynn

His name was brought up again today as a QB that could be an interest to teams in need. Would he be better than an unproven rookie? What team would you like to see get him. And is D. Bowe the best wide out in the pros this year? Considering his quarterback. He has been a touchdown machine.

considering his QB? His QB has improved just as much as he has. 24 tds and 5 ints? yeah, too bad his QB sucks

Flynn should go to the either the Vikings or the Panthers. I think Vikings will draft a QB in the first round but I don't think Carolina will go that route b/c they spent an early pick on Clausen. I don't think they are sold on Clausen yet and having a young QB like Flynn come in and challenge him for the starting job would be in their best interest instead of relying on Rex Grossman.

Best wideout in the pro would probably be out of Andre Johnson or Roddy White if you r talking about playmaking ability.

Grossman is the starting qb in Washington.

Haha. I think i switched him with Matt Moore.

well he's unproven much like any rookie QB would be, albeit not as unproven of course, but there would still be a ton of unknowns in starting him
i'd take andrew luck every day of the week over flynn, but he's about it in the 2011 draft...maybe mallett too, but i dont trust him
fact is, flynn is going to have to show a whole lot more than he has so far, and that isnt going to happen in green bay. so while i dont think anyone will bring him in and name him the starter from day 1 like matt cassel or matt schaub , it's quite plausible he could go somewhere where there is instability and compete for the starting job

but you do know what you're getting in terms of work ethic and the ability to earn the confidence of the coaching staff. This is a big unknown for most rookies.
He has one more year on his contract, I don't foresee a trade at this point.

Peyton Manning 4,257 yards
Drew Brees 4,122 yards
Tom Brady 3,561 yards
Matt Cassel 2,687 yards
Bowe is the receiving corps for KC, which means he faces either double teams or the other teams best corner. Cassel has done a good job. But I don't think he would be considered an elite QB.

that's true...but like i said, the only guy i would absolutely take over flynn in this draft is luck, a guy who will do everything right an be a superstar, IMO
oh theres no way GB trades him, none at all
wow, triple post

you are comparing him to the top 3 QB's in the league over the last 3 years. no doubt bowe is good but johnson, d. jackson, and white are better.

He would be a good fit in Miami imo.

As of last week
Andre Johnson 10 td's
Reggie Wayne 5
Calvin Johnson 12
Roddy White 8
D. Bowe 14
And he scored another today and caught over 150 yards in passes. What is your definition of playmaker?

and after today's game 3000 yds 27 tds 5 ints. Plus he missed 1 game and played 5 minutes after having surgery in another. I'm not arguing that he's in their class but manning and brees have combined for 34 ints before the games started today. forgot to put that in your arguement? What about the fact that KC is the best running team in the NFL so he doesn't have to throw for 350 a game? I'm also not arguing that Bowe is a serious playmaker. He is, always was, just needed a good QB. Now he has one. All I'm sayin is that "considering his QB" is a retarded statement. Cassel has played AS WELL AS BREES OR MANNING HAS THIS YEAR in fact, I'll say he's been better
Since u like stats: QB rating Brees=9th, Manning=11th...Cassel=5th.

Don't use the word retarded arse. D. Bowe faces the best defensive back from the other team every week. I was not slighting Cassel. But he doesn't have as many bullets in his gun as these other QB's. Bowe has had an All Pro year by any standard. Manning and Brees have been forced to throw because their running backs were hurt. Matts interception rate is great , like you said, he doesn't have to win with his arm.
