USC didn't forfeit their wins. They had to vacate them which means the teams they played still have to count those as losses whereas if they were forfeited (which in the NCAA only happens if the player was deemed ineligible DURING the season) the other teams would get those losses taken away.
With the FBI probe, I don't think it's going to take that long. FWIW IMO

There is a reason it is called the Mythical Natl. Championship. Whatever the NCAA does doesn't mean shite.
