..any of you guys live or hunt around there..??
I'm working in the area and this looks like PRIME deer hunting.
Noticed several 8 foot game fences also.
Nice thick brush.
How big do they grow here?
Hunting pics from anyone?

It seems like you need a little hill country! This area has abundant deer, but they are small. You will have an excellent opportunity to take some exotic animals.

Working in the Eagle Ford area (near Kenedy)...not hunting.
Beautiful country. I've only seen a few from the
road side, but they seemed to have good body size.

Like 4 said, small bodied deer.
Go farther west toward kerrville and take one of the abundant axis or fallow deer. Both exotic, both always in season.

Are you still looking for a good hunt?

Also Axis is one of the best tasting animals you will ever eat period. Better than Whitetail by a good bit.

Holy shite, someone knows where kerrville is. That's my hometown. My dad used to work for Y.O. ranch not too far from there. Had a chance to see a lot of exotic animals growing up. Axis has to be my favorite tasting deer.

I know that entire area pretty well. Went to a summer camp down there in Hunt for 6 years, worked there for 8. We also had a lake house in Marble Falls for a long time, and spend a lot of time down there in general.
I'll end up in that general area in the next few years, more than likely. (Marble Falls, Fredericksburg, Llano, Kerrville, etc.) Haven't really decided exactly where I want to be.
Love it down there.
