PS3 wont read discs

How much would this cost to get fixed?

Place a disc in slot, then hold the eject button down for 10 seconds. You'll hear it making noise to know it worked. Then release. It should take in your disc. Hopefully it plays, if not...
Put the disc in, look at the label, if it comes back out in the same position as when you put it in, then try cleaning it. If still not working...
It could be a software problem. Reformat your PS3 (backup info) and try again. If this doesn't work, then...
Sony has really good customer service. They'll ask you to reformat first anyway so it won't be a waste of time. If you have a warranty, they will ship you a box, you put your PS3 in it, and they will fix it (or supply you with a refurbish) and send it right back. If it comes to this, it's likely your BD drive failed, it's a common problem in PS3s.

Settings > System Settings > Format Hard Drive > Full Format
Don't forget to backup, you'll lose all you info if you don't.
