Florida finished the season with a BCS win by demolishing Maryland and finished #3. Tennessee could have gone the NC and finished #4. USC finshed 9-3 and #13. UGA #22. Only two teams in the SEC finished that season with losing records.
Besides, you can look at records at much at you want. In 2001, teams played one less rent-a-win game. Also, I'm more impressed by a coach who took a team from the bottom of the SEC to the top in 2 years. I could care less about the actual record.

Our ooc was tulane utah state and middle tennesse. This year was UNC WVU ULM McNeese. Which one has one less rent a win? Once again, people have idealized Saban's stay here to the point where there is nothing Miles can do to top it.

somehow this does not surprise me....lsu went to the sec championship game with 3 losses....that's not weak? This year a 1 loss team might not make it from the West.
