Our 4-2-5 Defense VS The Bama Wildcat

Since it failed miserably last week, How do you think the same set defense with a few blitzes added and more of a deadly QB and WRs will work out? Do you think Chavis will add another LB(Francois, Minter etc) in some formations? Do you think We will have more faith in the Blitz this week?
Your thoughts?

We'll be able to contain them just like we somewhat contained Auburn's offense. Our offense will dig us in a hole, and Alabama's superior field position throughout the game will be our undoing.

WHAT?!

I think if they have to resort to running the Wildcat a lot then it means we did a good job.

Besides, Alabama's Wildcat is nothing like what we saw with Auburn. Their version is either the RB taking it up the middle or giving it to a WR... not nearly as effective.

In terms of points allowed. I know we gave up a ton of yardage. But I guess it is arguable our punt team helped us with the field position. It won't even matter against Alabama. Saban must be licking his chops this week. My guess is that 17 points wins them the game.

It's in Tiger Stadium, Miles has two weeks to gameplan, and we're facing a much more traditional offense than what we saw at Auburn. Thus far, we've been successful at stopping those.

Fix the poor tackling and poor pursuit angles and we have a shot.
Chavis' scheme vs. Auburn wasnt a bad one, it was just poorly executed.
Add to it that McElroy isnt the running threat that Newton is which makes Auburn's Wildcat>>>>>>> Bamas Wildcat
I think they wont need to go to the wildcat to move the ball though. TR will make it a long day if we tackle like we did vs. Auburn

I think we'll be able to bring more bodies down against Bama, because they will run the Wildcat with two TEs and such rather than having 4 WRs.

Poor scheme and poorly executed. I absolutely hated that Chavis gave Newton 5+ yards before we even got near him.

What do think he should have done instead?

And how exactly did Chavis GIVE him 5+ yards?

I don't have an opinion as to what he SHOULD have done. All I know is that if something doesn't work, you adjust to something that might. Truthfully, it was brilliant of Malzhan to run Newton with 4 WRs... we can either choose to leave a WR open or we play with 6 in the box and continuously get burned.

By playing off the LOS.

Saban has two weeks to gameplan against our horrible offense. And he won't need the entire two weeks.

Because he's demonstrated that in ANY of the three games he's played against LSU, right?

2007 was the only year our offense did anything against them during the Saban era. And our offensive performance has gotten worse against them all 3 years.

Truth is, there wasnt any adjustment he could have made. Our D-line was man handled. If you dont get penetration (TWSS) they'll run on you all day.
He had the players in the right positions to stop them but they got owned in the trenches and the few time they had a shot to stop Cam for a lose or small gain they over-pursued and didnt wrap up.

The Db's had nothing to do with Cam's success. It was the D-line getting beat.

I think Peterson shuts Jones down. Claiborne can handle Maze and the rest of the D stacks the box. I would be more than happy to see McElroy forced to try and beat us.

Then I guess it works in our favor that there are three spheres to a football game.

LBs. The middle of the field was open all god damned day. But then that leaves the edges open.
Truthfully, I don't know. We just didn't match up well and didn't play well.
