I surely hope so, im tired of always seeing the same white jerseys every single week ffs...other schools mix it up and i think we should do the same...Hell even at most away games or neutral sites we always still wear white most of the time! We need to mix it up a bit more like other schools do ffs!

It's called tradition, and you don't frick with tradition. And when we are the away team, we are SUPPOSED to wear white. The norm is to wear dark at home, but due to tradition we wear white.

Do u know why we wear white for away games? Because that is what we have been doing for decades im sure...If you go back to the Eddie Fuller TD, the earthquake game, you will see we were wearing purple at home for conference games...This was recently changed by a former LSU head coach since that time and it has just stuck around, so i wouldn't necessarily call it tradition dear!

I have enjoyed the white jerseys and gold pants for a long time. College football is about traditions. If you don't like traditions do the NFL. Just don't try to make college like the NFL.

That said, I hope to God they burned those purple pants they wore against Kentucky back during the DiNardo era. I did not mind the gold jerseys and white pants, but thos fricking purple pants worn that one time really sucked. We also lost the game, which made things all the worse.

Cause everyone in the country wears white jerseys for away games except when they enter Tiger Stadium.

I
quote:

The tradition started in 1958, when Coach Paul Dietzel decided that LSU would wear white jerseys for the home games. LSU went on to win the national championship that year. Since then, LSU continued to wear white jerseys at home games. Then in 1982, new NCAA rules prohibited teams from wearing white jerseys at home. Because of this, LSU wore purple jerseys during home games from 1983 to 1994. The team's fans believed wearing purple jerseys brought bad luck to the team and complained often from 1983 and through the 1994 seasons. In 1995, LSU's new coach, Gerry DiNardo, was determined to restore LSU's tradition of white home jerseys.
BOOM that bitch.
